Introduction

The COVID-19 outbreak has not dampened the worldwide push for greener energy, despite some 

predictions to the contrary. Customer demand, government action, and other market forces continue to shift primary energy consumption away from fossil fuels toward renewable and decarbonized alternatives. Although the following developments present challenges for traditional oil and gas companies, they also present an opportunity to adopt new, clean-energy business models that can support their recovery and generate growth in a net-zero future.
